This ministry is a response of Scripture Union to the needs of married couples, parents and young people in relationships. We are committed to spreading a passion for the supremacy of God in family life.Scripture Union believes that the family is the most important single factor in the moulding of a human being. This ministry is committed to the prevention of AIDS by promoting wholesome relationships and strong family life. In Kenya, the programmes include:-

Adventure Unlimited: This is a life skill programme for 8-14 year olds to equip them to prepare confidently for their teenage years and adult life, as they grow in today’s world.

Choose Freedom: As a sequel to the above, this is also a life skill course for 13-20 year olds to equip them to confidently prepare for adult life. The two programmes are aimed at producing behaviour change among young people.

Choices and Limits: This is a life skills programme that approaches prevention of AIDS from the perspective that HIV / AIDS is only a symptom of a much greater issue – the dislocation of the family unit and the breakdown of moral values. The programme’s participatory approach enables the young people to form their own values and attitudes in life.

Positive Parenting

This is a life skills programme for parents and those who take care of children or those who are invlved in the task of parenting. It has ten segments icluding Raising up confident Children, Talking about Sexuality to Your Children,Communication and Handling Teenagers, among others.

Engagement

This is a life skills programme for young adults to help them understand the biblical principle of dating, to glorify God as they date, thus developing strong and Godly families after marriage.
